Engagement Process
An eJane engagement begins when a healthcare provider creates and publishes an engagement. The location, type of facility, health care contact, proposed rate, shifts, required screens and everything else about the engagement is contained in the listing.
Nurses, looking for a suitable opportunity, will utilize eJane's search tools, to discover a "published" engagement of interest and click the YES icon to apply. When this happens, the healthcare provider will be notified at their eJane profile page and their email.
A healthcare provider can "un-published" an engagement at any time in order to avoid continuing posting charges.
eJane then allows the healthcare provider and the nurse to enter comments and negotiate critical elements of the engagement (i.e rates, shifts, etc). As these changes are made, they are submitted to the recipient by clicking the RESPOND icon. eJane alerts the recipient in their Profile and regular email that a reply is required. This continues until an agreement is reached.
Once both have agreed, eJane requires that each ACCEPT the engagement. After this is done, a Final Engagement Package is created, the engagement is finalized and closed to further negotiations.
One important function to remember is the treatment of the nurse's personal and confidential information. When the nurse initially applies, the healthcare provider can only view general information (i.e. skills checklist, competencies, education, etc.). As the negotiations move forward, it will be necessary for the nurse to release their personal and/or confidential information. This can only be done by the nurse. It must be done before the negotiations can be accepted and finalized.
Either party can decide to DECLINE the engagement at any time. When this is done, it closes the engagement for the nurse. The engagement is still open for the healthcare provider to continue negotiating with other applicants.
