How do I negotiate an engagement?

Once an engagement has been created and published, nurses will search for engagements that interest them and APPLY. When this happens, you will be notified at your eJane profile page and your email.

eJane allows you and the nurse to enter comments and negotiate critical elements of the engagement (i.e rates, shifts, etc). As these changes are made, they are submitted to the recipient by clicking the RESPOND icon. eJane alerts the recipient in their Profile and regular email that a reply is required. This continues until an agreement is reached.

Once both, have agreed, eJane requires that each ACCEPT the engagement. After this is done, a Final Engagement package is created, the engagement is finalized, and closed to further negotiations. To avoid posting charges, Healthcare Providers can "un-publish" an engagement during negotiations with an interested applicant.

One important function to remember is the treatment of the nurse's personal and confidential information. When the nurse initially applies, the healthcare provider can only view general information (i.e. skill checklist, competency, education etc.). As the negotiations move forward, it will be necessary for the nurse to release their personal and/or confidential information. This can only be done by the nurse. It must be done before the negotiations can be accepted and finalized.

Either party can decide to DECLINE the engagement at any time. When this is done, it closes the engagement for the nurse. The engagement is still open for the health care provider to continue negotiating with other applicants.

One last thing, don't forget, primary contacts and/or users cannot share locations and/or engagements.
